Install update for 1.5A and overwrite when asked. Install main file manually or via mod manager. Load Winter overhaul after Vivid Weathers, and load the Vivid Weather winter plugin AFTER Winter Overhaul. Vivid Weathers and the Vivid weathers winter patch are highly recommended.
Climate of Tamriel and CoT Winter Edition are NOT compatible. this mod changes regional weathers, so weather mods WILL need patches (Obsidian Weathers has been reported to work fine). I highly recommend disabling grass via BethIni this mod alters grass and landscape so grass mods may not be compatible, load them before WinterOverhaul. LOD for buildings has been altered via CK with directional snow, so HD LOD replacers should work. Uninstall any other winter overhauls before installing this one. this mod is my own creation from scratch. As of version 1.7, most living plants have been removed except harvestables this mod changes all vanilla trees and most plants and is therefore NOT compatible with other tree and flora overhauls. NOTE: not sure if this option is available in SSE
Wet and Cold users should enable the "winter" mode in the MCM (game mode, change default to winter). Please provide feedback in the comments section if there are any issues This patch allows Frostfall to recognize all of Skyrim as wintertime, but it DOES NOT WORK FOR THE WATER. A patch is now available in the miscellaneous files section for users of Frostfall 3.4.1. Again, special thanks to Luxor8071 for perms to use them for this mod
Real Snow HD 2K is highly recommended for this mod. Some overhauls like Vivid Landscapes may not compatible install landscape and re-texture mods like HD Skyrim, 2K textures, Noble Skyrim, etc FIRST, then install this mod and overwrite. So the enhanced snow effect will be seen in every hold in Skyrim. As of version 1.7, all mountains and rocks have been replaced with their corresponding snowy models via CK. Better Dynamic Snow is HIGHLY recommended.
